Clemente-Associates Clemente Associates is dedicated to finding new applications for nano materials, particularly Magnetic Nano particles. Our technology does not use columns or other pressure devices that may damage cells. The small particle sizes avoid cellular shearing often caused by constant bombardment of particles on cells (agitation). As a result, we have more degrees of freedom to capture and collect a variety of analytes, cells and proteins in either micro liter or liter volumes.
We will covalently attach to our magnetic particles any antibody, protein, carbohydrate, or other molecule and orient it for maximum capture.
We work with universities and commercial organizations to advance our technology. These collaborations have enabled us to develop technologies in diverse applications, such as capturing fetal cells using noninvasive technique at 5 weeks gestation, and fertility improvements in human specimens by depleting damaged sperm (apoptotic fragmented DNA). In inorganic applications, we have released hydrogen from aluminum cans for soda and beer (green technology). In other technology areas, reusable silver magnetic particles have been developed for sterilization in food and beverage applications. Other metals fused to magnetic particles include copper, zinc, lithium, and rare earth metals.

Rare cells mixed with populations of other cells can be isolated and further analyzed for Chromosome abnormalities & Nucleic AcIDS. Smaller custom Clemente Nanoparticles have been used in intracellular trafficking.The small size of the nanopaerticles allows rapid solution kinetics and minimal agitation. No toxicity issues have been found with Clemente Magnetic Nano particles.
